For 35 years, Petz Enterprises, Inc. (PEI), the makers of CrossLink, has been providing customers with industry leading solutions.
Petz Enterprises, Inc., the makers of CrossLink, is a privately held company led by the original founders and members of the Petz family.
Company History — 35 Years of Industry Leadership
Petz Enterprises, Inc. (PEI) was first formed by Leroy and Glenna Sue Petz back in 1964. In the early days the generations old family sold a paper-based accounting system specifically designed for farmers. In 1974 the family business was formally incorporated in California. Petz Enterprises was one of the original distributors of Peachtree Accounting systems during the 1970's. As time went on the company expanded into being a systems VAR for a variety of accounting applications. Having developed a magnetic media filing application for Forms W-2 the company was invited to an IRS meeting in Sacramento, CA to discuss the development of an electronic filing application for individual 1040 forms.
In 1987 the company launched CrossLink® with 35 customers as an add-on to tax software programs that did not support electronic filing or tax related financial products. In 1994, the CrossLink was released as a fully developed tax preparation application built around electronic — rather than paper — tax filings.
Since that time, PEI has built a loyal following of tax preparation clients delivered by a balance of technology and people. PEI is a “high-touch” company that customizes tax preparation solutions for high-volume tax businesses. PEI is known for extremely high standards of product and service. The CrossLink suite of products is noted for their early delivery and high level of accuracy.
The CrossLink Suite of products for professional tax preparers includes CrossLink 1040 for desktop use, CrossLink Multi-Site Online (formerly known as V-Tax) a 100% web-based solution for multi-site operations and Service Bureaus, and CrossLink Business for CrossLink 1040 customers who need a solution that includes support for Federal and State business returns.
PEI backs its products with free 24/7 support and lives by what we call the Rule of Four. This rule demands that any service level expected from a company operating in a non-seasonal business must by delivered at 4 times the normal rate to be acceptable in the tax industry.
In the Fall of 2008 PEI expanded operations with a new office located in Bellevue, WA. This expansion delivers on the long-term needs of PEI for talent, operational expertise and data center facilities.
Today, PEI and the CrossLink Sales Team provide nationwide coverage to better serve customers.
